Clubhouse Rental F.A.Q.

Q: Who can rent the club?
A: Club membership is a requirement of renting the clubhouse.  If you're not a member, don't fret!  Joining is an easy process, and very reasonably priced.

Q: How many people can the clubhouse accommodate?

A: The club currently has a maximum occupancy rating of 49 persons.

Q: How much does rental cost?

A: Rental fees, generally, are based on the size of the party.  Most parties can be booked for a flat rate of $4.00/person.  Parties involving large groups of people under 21 years of age can be booked for $6.00/person.  Other fees may be incurred for additional services.  These include:

  • Hosting your event outside of normal business hours (No event may take place outside of legal liquor service hours.  This means that Halloween sleepovers for the kiddies are out!)
  • Providing additional service location(s).  Perhaps you'd like to have a basic bar on the patio adjacent to the grilling area... or draft beer on the front porch, etc.

  Q: Why the increased rental rate for people under 21?
A:The APC is a licensed dispenser of alcoholic beverages.  Given the nature of the facility and the liability involved in hosting parties involving young people, additional staffing is required during the event.

Q: Can I pay for beverages for my guests (e.g. "open bar," etc.)
A: Yes!  Several options are available.

Q: I would like to have a specific beverage available to my guests that you don't currently carry.  Can we do that?
A: Yes!  You can pre-buy that special Champagne you like, your favorite beer/scotch/etc., or even that nifty raspberry tea you're fond of.   as long as it is available in NM.  We'll work with our network of distributors to provide it to you.

Q: What about outside beverages?
A: No outside beverages are allowed.  This includes sodas, etc.

Q: Does everyone have to have valid identification to consume alcohol?
A: Yes.  All members and guests are required to have a valid I.D. for age verification.  No exceptions can be made.  Yes, even Grandpa Joe, Cousin Sue who didn't drive and The Bride who forgot her purse must have I.D.  :-)

Q: What about food?
A: The APC does not have the capability to provide food "in house."  Of course, we welcome catered events.

Q: Can I have a band/DJ/etc?
A: Yes.  There are several areas of the clubhouse that lend themselves to live music performances.  The largest space is the "Great Room" which is about 60' x 20'.

Q: I need a public address system/sound system for my event.  Do you have one?
A: Yes, we have partnered with Albuquerque's premier sound and lighting company, I-Systems, to provide almost any system you can imagine.  (System rental is negotiated separately from the APC clubhouse rental.)

Q: During my event, are other members allowed into the clubhouse?
A:Yes.  We typically do not close the facility to other members during party rentals.  Of course, as a member, most everyone is a friend you wouldn't mind at your party anyway.
